Introduction
NITE Biological Resource Center (NBRC) has been expanding its collection of various microbial resources such as bacteria including actinomycetes and archaea, yeasts, fungi, algae, bacteriophages and DNA resources and providing such resources for academic research and industrial applications. NBRC is a member of World Federation for Culture Collections (WFCC), OECD, Global Catalogue of Microorganisms (GCM), and Asian Consortium for the Conservation and Sustainable Use of Microbial Resources (ACM). Since 2006, NBRC is certified by quality management system ISO 9001.
